Helping people to help themselves in Cameroon

Through his football career, our club founder Alphonse Yombi has achieved something that many Cameroonians can only dream of: He escaped the labyrinth of poverty because he was given the chance to take his life into his own hands. Out of gratitude for his own good fortune, he continues to support not only his family, friends and neighbours, but also the street children and orphans in Cameroon, whom he gives the opportunity to acquire specialist knowledge in various fields at his training centre

Following his professional career, he founded Deutsche Kamerun-Hilfe e.V. in 2002 together with friends who shared the common idea of "helping sustainably". We are a non-profit association with the status of an NGO, a non-governmental organisation. Transparent structures show that your donation flows completely into our aid projects on the ground

In 2021, the national population of Cameroon consisted of around 27.2 million inhabitants. At almost 60%, the number of unemployed is very high. This is due to the fact that many people lack the basic professional knowledge needed to find suitable employment on the labour market. This increases the risk of seeking solace in alcohol and of no longer being employable in unskilled jobs.

We want to change this situation in Cameroon and give interested people the opportunity to get a job on the labour market by acquiring special basic knowledge through our training and further education centres. This should motivate people and enable them to earn a secure income
